Promote Targeted Awareness
Get In Front Of The Right Crowd
As you can see, there are numerous ways to promote awareness on the Internet. You may also have noticed they all have one thing in common. They are all methods of attracting highly targeted visitors to your web-based offer. So why do you need to attract targeted visitors to your website?
Targeted Visitors Equals More Sales From Same Budget
ROI is king. I’ll discuss the subject of ROI (return on investment) in greater detail in a later chapter but for now I can tell you that ROI is the rate of income you get back based upon your initial investment. For example, if every $100 dollars you spend on advertising makes you $110, your ROI is 10%. If every $100 you spend on advertising makes you $200, your ROI is 100%.
If you’re in the business of selling basketball-related items and you advertise in a general sports magazine then getting back $110 for every $100 you spend is pretty good going. If, however, you were to spend the same budget advertising in a specialist basketball-only publication with a similar-sized audience you’re likely to see an upswing in sales because you’re now promoting awareness to an audience with a higher interest in your products.
Tip: You’ll increase your chances for a sale by getting in front of the ‘right’ people from the outset.
Methods of Mass Distraction
When promoting awareness of your offer, you need to distract the visitor from whatever it is they’re doing at that moment and re-direct them to your offer.
TRAFFIC GENERATION
Attract as many ‘targeted’ visitors to your website as you possibly can while using the least amount of expense.
LIST BUILDING
Build an extensive targeted customer (database) list of all visitors to your website.

Generate steady targeted traffic to your website for free.

All these methods are guaranteed to bring targeted visitors to your website, if done correctly.
As this is a work in progress you’ll find some of the sections listed above are either incomplete or complete non-starters at this time. I’m still working on these but I still appreciate you submitting your comments in the box provided below each topic or sub-topic you want to know more about.
In the next chapter you’ll learn about the methods used to engage with your visitors once they arrive at your website.
I want to read the rest of your site, but keep getting this page!
Hi Sue, thanks for the comment. As you may have read in one of my earlier posts, this site is pretty new and evolving day by day. I’m not sure why you’re only getting to this page but I recommend that you return to the main menu just below the masthead and place your mouse over the ‘About’ tab. This will display a number of pages I feel you’ll find useful. If you have a specific question you need answered, please click on the ‘FAQ’ menu tab and follow the instructions on how to post your question.
I look forward to receiving your question and helping in any way I can.
