    Hello Dorain,
i found your presentation very interesting, you explained the 10 stages well, the thing that inspired me the most is the affiliates.
i’m also thinking of becoming one, however i do not know where to start.
i have looked on clickbank and i have also signed up and i have done some research on what i was going to affiliate.

however i do not know where to start.

i have posted it upon my facebook page and twitter.

i have also looked for some blogs but couldn’t find any.

Hi Clayton, thanks for your comments and congratulations on taking action.

In regards to promoting your affiliate link…

You mentioned you were unable to find any related blogs. Well, Clayton, when it comes to promoting affiliated items from Clickbank (or any other affiliate product vendor), the key is to do your research upfront. For example, when I begin my research, I make sure there already exists, blogs, forums, Facebook pages, Twitter Profiles, etc, in my chosen niche. However, during my research, if I don’t find any blogs, etc, I drop that project immediately. Life’s too short! This is what I love about WebCraft. You can research a potential income opportunity for free with tools such as Google’s Keyword Tool and you can do it FAST!!

Ok. Once you decide to go ahead, start by creating a free blog. Go to Blogger.com and set up a blog related to the topic of the affiliate product you’ve chosen to promote. Here is a link to YouTube videos that show you how to set up a Blogger account. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TDW5XW1TwY

Next, go to the affiliated product sales page, read the content and (re)write a review of the product remembering to include all the benefits mentioned in the original content. Once you’re happy with your review (which I suggest you write in MS Notepad), copy and paste into your new blog site.

I’m more than happy to read over your blog/review and offer my advice AFTER you’ve created your blog account and pasted in your first review. (Save it as a draft before you publish).

Setting up a blog isn’t difficult because everything you need to get your first blog up and running in less than 30 minutes is readily available, free and full instructions can be found on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TDW5XW1TwY

Here’s a very important tip… Once you’ve decided upon an affiliated product to promote, go to Blogger.com, open an account and give your blog a title that is as near to the product niche or name as possibe. i.e. If I was considering promoting a weight loss product titled, ‘Six Pack Abs’, I’d check on Google’s Keyword Tool to see if, and how many, people are using search terms containing the word ‘abs’ or ‘six pack’ or both. For example, if the search term, ‘how do i get six pack abs’ was a highly-searched term, I would name my blog… How Do I Get Six Pack Abs. The reason for this is…

Google uses sophisticated programs, known as ‘bots’, to measure the relevance of website content. If your blog title matches a particular search term, you’re more likely to be visible in the search results compared to another website/blog that doesn’t. Google also ranks your blog higher in the search results if your blog contains sufficient use (don’t overdo it) of the search term.

    * Remember, it’s not a question of ‘how many people see your blog, it’s a question of ‘how many RIGHT people see your blog.

Well, I hope I’ve motivated you enough to take action because without action, Clayton, nothing is proven and you’ve got to keep proving things to yourself. Become curious about everything, then satisfy your curiosity. Become curious about whether a blog you set up can truly make you money, then set up that blog and prove to yourself that it works! Believe me, there’s no better feeling than seeing steady income rolling in and knowing that all it took was curiosity and a little action on your part.

Remember, action speaks louder than words, take action.

Be well and keep in touch, Clayton. Keep me up to date on your progress.

    Hey Dorian,

I found your presentation very informative and inspirational. I’m planning on signing up to become an affiliate on various websites; I have found one and I’m going to look into others. I found your presentation has motivated me to discover and explore the different aspects of Online Businesses.

I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do once I finish College but your presentation has motivated me to attempt to earn a living creating websites and promoting it in order to make money. I still don’t know how I’m going to do it but with research I’m sure I’ll find a way.

    Thank you
